"Great property, lovely staff, delicious breakfast. Parking was very convenient - underground parking lot with elevator to reach the lobby, take your ticket to reception for validation to receive the parking discount. Something to keep in mind: this is a large property - we had to walk down several long hallways and take 2 elevators to reach our room. If that's an issue for you, give reception a heads up for room accommodation preferences."
"The lighted bathroom mirror was placed at least a foot too high. I could only see my forehead. No makeup mirror. In the middle of the night the bottom frame of the mirror lighted felt like it seared my retina. The TV was not attached to the antenna cable.
Katie, in reception, was exceptionally helpful! She booked our bus tickets when it didn't work on my phone and printed them as a backup. She was so gracious and helpful!"
"The hotel is a bit of distance from downtown Galway. The hotel itself, fantastic!! Breakfast buffet is highly recommended, many options, hot & always replenishing. The gym was dynamite, multiple floors with new & old gym equipment. The Courtyard restaurant had great offerings & very delicious. Mollie, was unbelievably helpful, a pure delight to deal with. She made our stay much better & always there to help out."
"The the carpet in the room was a little stained and the room did not seem particularly clean, but not unusable. The front of the hotel looked nice. the first person we talked to wasn’t over friendly but but she was helpful. On thing I will say was the food in the restaurant was delicious and service was very good! And breakfast was very good as well."
"The staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious. The central location is excellent but the area is extremely noisy, with loud music from nearby bars and large crowds outside the window. Earplugs were provided in the room, suggesting that noise is a recognised and ongoing issue. They were very effective, however. The room and bathroom are in need of renovation, with loose electrical sockets and tired furnishings.
Good air con in the room.
Overall, an average and noisy stay that felt...
"The staff was very friendly. They went above and beyond for our stay. My kids had special gifts left just for them on their beds along with magical notes from fairies. You'll have to make a reservation for a restaurant to be able to go into the castle. Be sure to do this as the experience is well worth it!! Also, highly recommend the School of Falconry Hawk Walk. It was my 8yo's favorite thing we did in Ireland."
"The location was great, staff very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was that the TV didn't work and the plug to the teapot was torn so we couldn't use it."
