"The hotel is okay for one night. Clean, with all the basics you need and an extremely large bed.
However, I've never seen a smaller toilet than the one in my room...it felt like a punishment every time you go in. Sound isolation can be improved too. When the neighbor showered, it felt like they were showering in our bathroom. Thank god they didn't do it too late, otherwise it wouldn't be possible to sleep."
"Quiet, comfortable, nice breakfast selection, and very helpful staff. Just outside the old Avignon city walls, so accessing all the sites by foot is very easy."
"Overall a fairly standard hotel with good snd bad points
Room - floors were not clean and we saw ants several times. The bed and pillows were uncomfortably hard. Nice bathroom. They only clean the room when you hang out the sign.
Location - this is only a good location if you have a car. If not you will spend a fortune on transportation to the train stations and central Avignon.
Food & Drink - we ate 1 dinner and 1 breakfast at the hotel. It was tasty. There is a small bar area and they will...
"Un hôtel très correct aux portes d’Orange, mais pas au niveau des 4 étoiles tant par le service que par le caractère un peu défraîchi du bâtiment. Maintenant les prix sont centrés avec même des promos très interessantes"
"Hotel 1770 & Spa served as our home base during the week we spent visiting Avignon, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Pont du Gard, Arles, and Nimes. Sandine, the Hotel Manager, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Sandine arranged for a driver to pick us up at the train station the night we arrived and to take us to the train station on the day we left. The daily housekeeping was excellent, including clean towels. The hotel is very reasonably priced, perhaps because it is located in an...
"We had a small room ... and it was small. So, think about 1 size up. Otherwise, great staff that assisted with sight seeing and food. We felt the location was great. Oh, awesome breakfast!"
"Le personnel est extrêmement professionnel et toujours souriant. Mira, s'est mise en 4 pour nous rendre service.
Très beau cadre, très bon petit déjeuner, piscine très agréable, bref nous y reviendrons"
"Wonderful hotel!!
Clean, spacious room, and enjoyed the breakfast option.
Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Location was ideal. Walk to restaurants, wine tasting and Chateauneuf du Pape Castle.
Chateau Mont Redon and Famille Isabel Fernando are must wine stops
We would definitely stay here again!"
