"Front desk staff was welcoming and extremely helpful. Breakfasts, and breakfast staff were very good. Housekeeping was also very good. Views from the hotel were beautiful and the location is excellent. Parking was relatively easy.
Hotel pool and surrounding area was very tired looking and needed umbrellas or some sort of shaded area and decor. Rooms were very dated and carpet was very worn. We booked three rooms and two of the couples commented that their beds were uncomfortable and needed to...
"El hotel está bien situado, con buenas vistas en un paraje muy tranquilo y con buen aparcamiento.
Desde la habitación veiamos el Parque Acuático Magiklan que está a 5 minutos en coche.
Sin duda, un hotel excelente y tranquilo ysin bullicio para poder relajarse en sunpiscina exterior o en su Spa."
"This hotel is incredibly great! We loved staying here. The facilities, staff, room and the service is incredible.
Only thing we think could improve is the massage services can always be better, and have more diverse offerings with varied therapist that are more confident.
The other thing was that the room service was always great but even tho there was moments we didn’t want anybody in the room they still came in to clean up…
Overall it was amazing!!!"
"beautiful property and view, comfortable, clean room and big bathroom, very charming, great location to walk into Regua, super helpful staff, wide breakfast selection with made-to-order eggs, and available parking"
"A wonderful stay in Guimarães. The hotel is in an excellent location, perfect for exploring the historic centre on foot. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of choices. The hotel also provided many thoughtful conveniences that made our stay easy and comfortable. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again."
"Property, location and staff were great with amazing views of the lake and neighboring vineyards. Its biggest flaw is the bedroom - sagging mattress and lumpy pillows made for a very umcomfortable sleep. I didnt have a restful sleep. The carpet in the bedroom can be updated."
"The only part that let down our stay was the food which was very disappointing.
We had read the restaurant was the best in the area.
On our first night the food was not up to standard and certainly was not cooked fresh and was extremely salty.
The second night I ordered partridge served on mushroom risotto.
The partridge was old dry and tasted like is was preserved in salt. It was awful and I had to send it back after the first mouthful. It was extremely disappointing to say the least. On our...
"One of the best hotels I've stayed in. The wine is incredible, the food is amazing, the place is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. They have nailed wine tourism."
"Charming hotel in the heart of the old town. Fernanda was so kind and welcoming upon our arrival after we’d had a stressful day. Breakfast could be improved upon, the omelette was average. Room was comfortable for our 1 night stay."
