The hotel is very spacious and well appointed. The gardens are beautiful and our breakfast was very tasty. Although the hotel was busy (as evidenced from breakfast) it was also very quiet and peaceful. All around a fantastic option for anyone looking for a hotel in the area and excellent value."

"The settings is stunning but unfortunately the accommodation urgently needs updating.The plates and cups are chipped,the cooker must be 30 years old ,and takes a long time to heat up .The TV must be 19 inch ,the lounge suite sinks in at the back causing sore backs .There is no towel rails to hang your towels.The main bedroom,well the dressing table is a shelf ,there is no shelves just a wardrobe to hang clothes .The duvet is very thin and old and the cover is faded and polyester, horrible.My...

"Beautiful historic hotel sensibly and chicly updated. Staff very attentive. Our suite was quite comfortable..terrific bed and lovely bath including charming decor and sitting area. The gardens are amazing and you can walk down to the river Tamar from the hotel. Breakfasts amazing, dinner good. Small niggle; pillows are all the same. I like a softer version fwiw. Hope to come back again; really a stunning spot."

"Couldn't check in until 5:30pm as the pub was shut and no-one was onsite. Very welcoming staff, lovely food and overall well maintained. My room was upgraded at no extra charge, so had a lovely view of the stunning surroundings which was greatly appreciated. Would definitely stay here again."

I stayed in Bothywick with my grandma and on the day I had to go to a wedding my grandma was looked after by Pat and Tony, they really went above and beyond for her!
