"When we checked in our room had a strange odour. It was only when I discovered several small ants around the room that I realized the odour was an insecticide. "No lift so if you have a heavy bag and you have an upstairs room you’ll have to lug it up stairs. Good central location and clean bathroom with excellent water pressure for a good shower. Bed was good. Room wasn’t noisy either even though it is on a reasonably busy road. "

"The Hotel is looking it's age and the room was dated. The bathroom has no exhaust fan and the Shower Tiles are very slippery, also the passages leading to the rooms are poorly lit."

"The Terrence restaurant was excellent. Staff generally very friendly, except for the breakfast restaurant. They seemed annoyed when we asked for poached eggs, there were no cups left for tea or coffee. Again, they said 'aren't there any at your table". Impatient when we asked for help. We had the Balmoral suite, the view was incredible. It was a superior room and the bath was very deep and luxurious. The grounds were very relaxing. "
