"Very nice staff, lovely lounge.delicious breakfast. Very clean. Located up the hill sitting well above town. 3rd floor room .we could not access windows. Perhaps due to our unfamiliarity with operation. Would have enjoyed a fan in the room - although we were made aware they are available from the desk- a bit awkward to call in the middle of the night."
"Big disappointment. With a change of ownership, new management and an extensive refurbishment, this expensive hotel should be a joy. It was a bit of a joke and the staff agreed.
The room:
We stayed in the annex. No cold water for three days! Maintenance agreed the tap was broken but that was the extent of efforts to resolve it. One small bottle of water each was the solution for drinking and cleaning teeth.
No control for temperature inside the room. Control in the lobby for four rooms. It was...
"Nancy, our host, was wonderful. Made us comfortable immediately and has a beautiful home. Our morning breakfast was cooked to order from our large menu options. Definitely stay again."
"It was a quiet, clean place to stay. The best part was the breakfast! The workers were very pleasant and make it obvious that they worked toward making your stay a pleasant one. One tip: better signage to lead guests to the check-in office, and please place the bath mat out in the open as the shower without it was quite slippery."
"There is no staff present and the hosts don't reply when you email them. The rooms are cozy and clean but not sound proof. Breakfast is provided along with fresh eggs but there's no way to cook them other than in a microwave. The bathroom has a tub and a handheld shower, impossible for anyone to shower without wetting the entire bathroom. The bathroom sink is little more than a birdbath. No fan or ventilation other than opening the front door."
"The room was very clean and furnishings towels and bedding of good quality. The decor was rather bland maybe a few bright pictures and a colourful throw .
The service was faultless at both dinner and breakfast. The food at dinner was very good . Breakfast food was good quality but was very overcooked. We enjoyed our stay."
