"Ms. Dierdre, the proprietor, was amazing. She was welcoming, helpful, and so, so kind. The house was amazing with a roaring fireplace and comfy chairs. It's the kind of place you could truly make yourself at home. The breakfast was EXCELLENT! And the add-on options were delicious! We got the bacon and eggs and were so glad we did, it was the perfect addition to the already plentiful breakfast. Make sure to try the overnight oats that she makes herself. They are the best I've ever had! The women helping Ms. Dierdre were as sweet as her, super helpful, and very accommodating for our six-year old. We are already planning another trip to stay with her for a longer time. All our love, Ms. D! "

"The property was in a perfect place on the beach, quiet and luxurious on the inside. The pool and jaccuzi were a nice addition, both very warm. Great for a family as we had two kids and they had thier own bed. We had a king size. Best sleep in a hotel. Had a nespresso machine for coffee in the room, which is a nice touch. Beautiful walks on the beach in the evenings after a busy day in the city of Cork. About 40 min drive to the airport on a main highway most of the way, 30 from Cork, 20 from Midleton and about 25 to Cobh. Breakfast and dinner was amazing although I would reccomend eating around the other small towns for experience purposes. Only thing that might be missing is a small convenience store (about 15 min drive)or gift shop and a fridge. I still would reccomend this over hotels in Cork, Cobh and Fota Island. "

"The rooms are clean and really spacious. The location of the hotel is perfect, 5 minute walk from the waterfront with lots of bars and restaurants. We had a brilliant time here."

"Great location and very comfortable but let down by a couple of silly things. Sofabed couches that were collapsed in the middle and uncomfortable to sit on, threadbare towels and no tea or coffee in the kitchen. I expected better for the price but it didn’t spoil our experience and we had a lovely restful weekend beside the beach. "
