"Hotel was better than expected after reading the reviews. Previously stayed at the hotel many years ago with previous owners & it has so many facilities for kids it has the potential to be a great hotel (like it used to) Biggest let down was the heat of the room. It was actually unbearable heat, hardly slept & were kids not feeling great with it. Hotel rooms seriously need air con. Other thing that could be improved is to bring back the restraunt. "We had a great stay at this lovely B&B run by a very welcoming couple, Margaret & Sandy. Very spacious room for us which had en-suite facilities, fridge, seating area and tea & coffee facilities too. As for the breakfast…expect a hearty start to the day whether it’s all the trimmings or just porridge. We’d certainly recommend!"

"It was great. So much better than expected. Beware only three people can cook at a time as there is only three cookers. That said the kitchen is a very good size and generally well equipped. Good sized dinning room. Overall the centre is well equipped, serviced and friendly helpfull staff. Add to boot about a ten minute walk to the town for supplies etc."

"Not our first time and not our last at the Woodland lodges. Great deal for families or groups. Lodge is roomy and well maintained. In the heart of Aviemore, easy to walk the strip. Had great weather so walked everyday. Breakfast buffet welcome start to the day. "

"The first 3 nights we were there the bed frame wasn’t stable and wooden slats either broke or fell out. The toilet wouldn’t always flush. I had to take the tank lid off and push down on the blue ball so the tank would fill with water. Then we were able to flush. Rental agency claimed toilet flushed ok when they supposedly fixed bed slats. Living room loveseats very uncomfortable. One has no cushion and you feel the wooden slats only. "
