"It was very confusing to determine where to park and how to get to the Pousada, as no cars are allowed. Once we figured that out, a van picked us up in the designated place and took us to the top of the village to the reception area for the hotel. There are a lot of stairs, so not a good place for those with mobility issues. The room was very cozy and the staff were very friendly. Hotel staff was pleasant, professional & VERY helpful—made dinner resv for us at Nova Casa de Ramiro, a place that’s hard to get! They also found washcloths for us when asked (not normally in European baths). We stayed in the “Queen Isabel” suite—a nice treat up high & private. *ONE NOTE—plan ahead on your luggage. It’s a long tricky walk from the mandatory outside parking areas! But...
