"You are surrounded by nature, birds, animals, everywhere you look. The staff is very friendly, funny, and the service is excellent. The property is lush and gorgeous. Its a magical place! But, the facilities are close to 10 years old, and being that close to nature has its «downsides», if you are not REALLY into it. Even so, we loved our time there. "Siminti was an absolutely amazing host! She was there for all our needs. We got a massage and she had a recommendation. Our safari was axong per her recommendation. She took care of our 3 year old son- always having water for him, making him great food, and being the sweetest person. The room was clean and just what we needed. If I were to return to Sigiriya, I'd stay here again. Walking distance to Sigiriya Rock and about 200 rupees by tuk tuk. "

Each of the hotel's 11 accommodations is, from what I understand, nestled in its own secluded setting - so secluded I never caught sight of another. The hotel staff is charming and endlessly obliging. The continental breakfast, served in room, is best in its class - lavish beyond my experience of breakfast in that category. Plus, there's wonderful entertainment provided by the monkeys who are well aware that breakfast is going on."
