"This hotel is behind a gate with armed guards. You can’t go outside because there’s no place to go. The pool area was off limits. Only place you could go to was lobby - which was stark and simply had seatings. Breakfast was alright if you like seine cold fried egg and mystery meat. "This was the best hotel we stayed at in our month long trip in Madagascar. We were either jet lagged, or about to travel whenever we were in Tana and this hotel was comfortable and easy. It is at the top of the hill with a nice view and a rooftop bar. There are a few bars and restaurants in walking distance as well. Their prices are a bit high, so we walked next door for breakfast and went out for dinner. But wow, to have a nice shower and wifi is incredible."
