"Cute and quaint old school feel. Great if you love old books and reading in libraries. Bedding was lacking in pillows. Other than a tiny fridge, no other room amenities like coffee/tea or complimentary water. I also had to request my VIP perk of 1 bottle of wine as it was not offered it to me upon checkin. Overall, you get what you pay for staying in a book-themed auberge in a very touristy old-world town like Obidos. "

"This hotel is in a magnificent position overlooking a majestic cathedral and our room had a perfect view of the church. One particular member of the restaurant staff was unbelievably helpful and generous and the food was excellent. The room was comfortable but had no tissues or hair conditioner. Overall a good night "

"This is a great hotel for visiting Óbidos. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly. The have a buffet for lunch which was very good. Tip - the hotel signage isn’t obvious so look for the Antonius Restaurant this is a more eye catching sign for the hotel. There is parking in front of the hotel. I definitely recommend this hotel. "

"The wife and I were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We felt that we were staying in a palace. The workers were dressed in attire from medieval times. The decor was of medieval times. They include a breakfast buffet fit for a king. The staff was extremely friendly. We arrived late in the evening and a gentleman went out to a nearby restaurant to ask if they could accommodate us as it was 1/2 hour before closing times. He came back and told us if we hurried over they would accommodate us....
