"I was quite happy with the stay. The room had a slightly damp smell but it was clean. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of options. However, my major complaint was that I wrote to the hotel after my husband realized that he had left an eye mask at the hotel, and there was NO reply from the hotel at all. It's ok that they couldn't find the eye mask, but they should at least give some response. This is disappointing. "

The staffs are very courteous, helpful, and engaging, make the guests feel at home. The facility is well maintained. No pest intrusion into the cabin. "Host was really welcoming and hospitable. Homestay can be found by googling (河北水餃). Located in Fenqihu which is near but still a distance away from Alishan National Forest - there is a bus (7322) that goes along Chiayi - Fenqihu - Alishan which was helpful. Food options were also scarce past nightfall. "
