"We really enjoyed our stay at Laborie Estate. The estate is beautiful, wonderful views, great breakfast and a cozy apartment. Everyday fresh water in the fridge, coffee in the room, everyone was very friendly. Only comment I have is that it felt a bit anonymous and communication wasn‘t too great. "We booked the manor. Without informing us they placed us in a garden room. When we noticed this they informed us that the room in the manor was claimed by the owner. At the end they solved it well they gave us a house. In general Diemersfontein is outdated. Staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant is good. "

"Beware - The lodge is not serving its inclusive breakfast and doesn't compensate for its absence. The housekeeper was charming and efficient but the manager was elusive and hasn't responded to communications. We had just stayed at a guest house a few km to the north where we had a lovely daily breakfasts so unclear why DWWL couldn't provide what we had paid for. A voucher, or some Rand, to use at a local cafe would have been sufficient. "

"Old beatiful hotel in urgent need of a rescue. Hotel tried to down grade the 2nd room i paid for. From a Delux Double room to a Studio.Lucky i saw the attempt when booking in? Disapointing a Hotel would do this and when the client sees it,blames the computer. Aircon in Room 227 did not work and was given a 2 bar heater that only made the slightest difference since the temperature dropped below 10 degrees celsius and there's snow on the mountains.
