Expedia advertises that you have to check in at a different location but we did not have to do that as property had front desk. The lobby reeked like cigarette, unsure if coming from outside or the bar/restaurant. Smaller hotel room but modernly renovated. Washroom is very tight as I noticed with all the washrooms in EU. "Great hotel in Grindelwald. The staff was very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was very good. We had a fantastic view of the Eiger and Monch mountains that captivated us. I suggest requesting a room with a view of these mountains as opposed to the other side that looks towards Mount First. That side isn't bad, but the view towards Eiger and Monch is fantastic. The mountains feel close enough to touch. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk to the main train station, but there are also buses...
