"There was no staff , can’t able to contact to manger , it was difficult to enter the property, there was no guidance"

"Great place, fab staff. Breakfast was excellent"

"Great location if you’re coming and going by train. Ask for a room “not” facing the street - mine did and even with ear plugs the traffic noise was quite loud. (Doesn’t help old school single pane windows which I suppose is common there.) Shower was also weak and stain on duvet cover was, even though small, gross. That said, location, staff and breakfast (included) were great."

"Nice, Big Room! Beautiful Decorated House. Helpful and Friendly staff."

"Had a really nice stay"

"Overall nice room, great location but disappointed with Expedia inflating the price of breakfast. Hotel charge £13pp served at the pub across the road (fab breakfast) we were charged £27pp"

"Stunning guest house, absolutely spotless. Would definitely recommend, and also stay again."

"Lovely stay for a few nights to explore the lakes. Close to Windermere shops and restaurants."

"The place was lovely and clean and the owner was very welcoming I really recommend the place"

"Clean room, very comfy bed and in a great location to explore the Lake District."

"I went here late July, the owners where really nice and made a banging breakfast. Helped my navigate around the lakes and provided a few recommendations. Will definitely be going back"

"Great apartment, would highly recommend!"

"Room was Huge and well presented, unfortunately there was food at the hotel which was a bit of pain but staff great room very good, easy parking. I would stay again "

"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "

"A lovely guest house, had everything we needed in a great location."

"Really well located just out of bowness and Windermere - great staff, food was lovely and room was great pet friendly too would highly recommended!"

"Great position Grand old hotel enjoyed our stay"
