"We chose the Villa Romeo due to its location to the main train station, it's just across the street. We were only staying one night before flying from Catania to Rome. The hotel is old but well maintained. We enjoyed our brief stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was typical but could be eaten in the beautiful courtyard which is filled with plants, very pretty. Overall a fine visit. "

"If you’re visiting Catania, Sicily, you can’t do better than Hotel centrum. The hotel is centrally located to the historic district and all the tourist sites. The rooms are quite pleasant, maintained daily. Tariff includes a full, hot breakfast and the staff is very pleasant and helpful."

"The property was dirty with rusted shower head, broken lights, dirty shower tray, cigarettes in the toilet, marks on wall, open roof hatch, broken door and marked bedding. The room smelt strongly of smoke and the windows were dirty. We did not stay and had to find alternative accommodation. The bed could not be used as it was so dirty and the shower unsafe. I have stayed in basic hotels before but this was dirty, smelly and unsafe."

"The property was quite hard to find and in a quiet dark street which as a solo female traveller, felt a little uncomfortable. Once inside though, the room was fine for my needs if a little basic and the lady at breakfast was lovely "
