"Lorenzo and Giacomo were the perfect hosts! We arrived on foot from the Siena train station at their beautiful oasis just outside the city walls, and were grateful to spend 4 nights in September 2026. Many people who stay here seem to have cars as they offer great parking just outside of Siena which has traffic limited zones. Palazzo di Valli was our home base to explore Tuscany. Highlights included visiting San Gimignano, hiking sections of the Via Francigena, and learning about Italian wines...

"Hotel Dei Capitani was a wonderful hotel with a fantastic view. It was so relaxing to open our doors to the balcony and see the sunrise and sunset colors over the lovely countryside. A great location and the staff were so helpful. We highly recommend this hotel."
"Villa Elda is more a dated B and B than luxury boutique ; there is no luxury - the water glasses in the room are plastic and breakfast is dried out croissants with jam in plastic packets. There is no feeling the staff are there to look after you - just a list of what you will be charged if you do anything wrong g. Nit value for money"
"We loved staying here as we had a room with a balcony and it is only 12 minutes from Siena. In the past, we stayed in the historic center but since the ZTL, it isn’t worth the headache of staying in Siena proper. It is a short walk and lovely to do after dinner. The room was lovely. The breakfast was delicious. The front desk staff went always friendly and at times seemed uninterested and a bit rude but don’t avoid it because of that. The breakfast staff was hit or miss. Some are super lovely...
