"Location was good, difficult getting taxis between 12 - 1 (2 told us they were on lunch) - waited almost an hour as walk to steep with luggage. Staff were very kind and helpful, but also not around for 20 when we arrived. Jacuzzi was out of order. Amazing views and terrace with a pool, nice grounds, good lunch (sandwiches) and wine, rooms modern but small (it's Europe). We would stay again! Loved hotel cat!"

The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The whole staff treated us like family specially Agnes. She was amazing. She was so helpful and even booked our dinner reservations one night. "The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The views from the back of the property are most incredible, leaving the front of the hotel very non-descript. The prepared dinners were great, especially for those of us who did not want to head back down into Pinhao. The breakfast was wonderful, although they lacked eggs. The only real negative is how to get to the property and, less so, the parking. The directions from Pinhao do not reflect the steepness and the very narrow streets that you have...

"We booked a room with 1 double bed and one single or twin bed in the same room, the hotel on the other hand seemed not to be aware of that and after being sent in a room with only one double bed we needed to change rooms, the advertised pool is empty, the breakfast is good, overpriced for what you get."

"This is a bed and breakfast, an amazing property in the ruins of a castle. We loved everything about it. The views, the decor, beds very comfortable and the breakfast was also very good. Would love to return. Tania the host was very nice."

"We had a wonderful two nights at this peaceful oasis. The silo rooms are charming, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful views. Joao, the host, was accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. The food was great, really good breakfast, and a nice selection of snacks and wines on the lovely terrace. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway!"

"The tour around the town is really interesting, if you get the opportunity to do the private tour I’d highly recommend it, we even went into backyards to check on the almonds drying, and picked figs off the tree to eat. So relaxing and quiet. Dinner and breakfast in the Restaurant was delicious and the service brilliant, The apartment has subdued lighting which fits with the room but might not be enough for everyone, we would stay here again if in the area."
