"The George is in a very central place in Cheltenham, it’s close to all the bus's needed to got to the Cotswolds and beyond. The staff are extremely helpful and give good advice regarding the area. We had the continental breakfast and there was plenty of healthy food and drinks available. We also had some cooked to order breakfasts and these were exceptionally good. On the downside some of the carpets on the stairs need renewing. Overall I’d give the George 9/10."
"Booked for 4 nights.Towels and bins should have been changed on 3rd morning.Not done.Towels changed on 4th night.Bins over flowing and smelly not emptied during stay.Staff pleasant but lackadaisical.Outside steps were filthy.Not a good look at all.Will probably stay there again because location was excellent.Overall 6 out of 10"
"Amazing hotel!
We visited for our anniversary and were upgraded to one of the Manor Deluxe rooms, which was fab.
The whole hotel was immaculately clean and all of the staff we encountered were polite and so helpful.
We only wish we could have stayed longer and would love to visit again in the future!"
"This pub is nothing like the photos online! Looks rundown & in bad shape. Inside not much better, dated and old looking but not in a good sense. Room was basic but did the job for one night. Cheaper than other accommodation in the centre of Cheltenham but for a reason! Breakfast included but left half of the cooked breakfast as felt sick. Wouldn't stay again nor recommend to fellow travellers looking to book ❌️"
"Great location. Lovely rooms as I’ve stayed in the hotel many times. Comfortable and clean. Gorgeous toiletries to use. Small car park but parking near by if you can’t park at the hotel but I’ve only had this issue once or twice. Highly recommended hotel"
"A very nice comfortable room,very clean with nice toiletries supplied. Free parking which may be limited at times. Excellent breakfast and a helpful staff. Hotel is quite old and a bit quirky so some rooms may be awaiting renovation I believe as there did seem to be different facilities in some but overall a very pleasant stay in a lovely little town"
"Lovely spacious room, brilliant location in the heart of the Forest of Dean (we saw wild boar in broad daylight, just outside the hotel). Excellent meal in the the dining room in the evening of our stay. Online check-in didn't seem to have worked, but this may not have been the hotel's fault."
