"We had a lovely stay in Brig. The hotel is in a fantastic location, perfect for exploring the historic sights on foot, with plenty of great restaurants nearby.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially towards our little dog, which we really appreciated. We had a rooftop room with a balcony, which was a real highlight and gave us wonderful views over Brig and the surrounding mountains.
Breakfast was very nice with a good selection, and overall the hotel was a great choice...
"Check-in consisted of a room key left at the front desk with no attendant present, and a note that Hotel Blumental was transitioning to a partnership with another hotel. The note stated if questions arose, guests were to walk to the other hotel during the hours of 9-5 for assistance. This was inconvenient and concerning, as there was basically no one from the property onsite. I am allergic to feathers and needed to request different bed pillows and a comforter without feathers. Unfortunately...

"No 24 hr reception,therefore because of my delayed train from Germany, I wasn't able to stay, yet as soon as I told them about my delay ,they took their money from my bank account.
Very unprofessional and wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone,just in case you were delayed, and left stranded.
I travel a lot and never had this kind of problem, even as a gesture of goodwill they could've offered a partial refund.

"We finally found a hotel in Switzerland with air conditioning...it was very much needed after a long day of hiking. All of the staff we had contact with were exceptionally friendly. The hotel is very well located in a lovely pedestrian only part of town surrounded by great restaurants, easy walk from the train station. We loved the view from our balcony. The honesty bar was an added bonus and breakfast was the best we had in Switzerland. I would go out of my way to stay in this hotel again."
