"We paid the premium to stay at Key West Cottages as compared to other properties in Chincoteague because of the location, property amenities and all of the great reviews. With two young kids we wanted a place we could relax and enjoy without having a schedule or planning too many activities around the island. It met and even exceeded our expectations. "No staff on site to check us in. An envelope with instructions was left for us in the lobby (main door unlocked at ALL times). Found the room unlocked with the key hanging on the wall inside. The whole check in process is a security concern. The web site says free self-parking. There is street parking in front but limited to 3 hours. We called the management number. An operator answering the call tried to connect us to the management but got no answer. We left a message but never got a call or...

"Guys it’s a clean room with a bed that’s comfy. Typical motel layout but rooms are upscale. Looks shady af but overcome that and just say it’s beachy and you will love it!"
