"We travelled as a family of 4 with two very young kids and we loved our stay at the lavender cottage! It was peaceful, quiet and idyllic. We had everything we needed and the host was welcoming and kind. Being able to use the fireplace was a lovely bonus on a cold day! "

An easy location to walk to town and when the weather was nice we could sit out front with our happy hour wine and snacks and have a view of the town and harbor. The house was well appointed. It is an historic house, so those who like modern amenities may not be as comfortable. We loved the eclectic decore and charm of the cottage and found it had everything we needed. "Not quite what we expected .. lovely property, spotlessly clean, good location, good facilities e.g. fully equipped kitchen, nicely decorated But small room and noisy doing the day. also more lodgings than B&B with the owner sharing the communal space We paid for the two nights but stayed elsewhere Probably absolutely fine for others but not quite right for use, our fault really as it was our last two nights in lovely NZ and so should have booked something more appropriate"
