"I highly recommend The Trogon Lodge. The staff at the reception desk, the restaurant and the bar/café were super kind and helpful. The new manager is doing a great job. Delicious food: sopa azteca, sauteed trout with veggies, chicken stew, egg omelettes, for example. The trout could not be fresher since the hotel has its own trout ponds. (If you like juicy trout better ask the chef to cook it for less time.)

"The property was completely rundown, we were the only guests. One of the rooms had a lizard inside , the fans were broken and noisy . The only thing was the staff ( Walter ) was very helpful and tried his best ."
"We staying in the hand-built rustic wood cabin in the middle of blackberries [Mora] in the woods. You need a 4 wheel drive to get down the very steep access road. We left our compact rental car at a house up at the road [for a modest fee] and walked down 2km. The cabin is down a steep forest path. Didn't see evidence of wifi. It's simple and wild. Will not suit everyone, but we greatly enjoyed it. "
"Would highly recommend this place. The owners just couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The cabins are bright, comfortable, and clean. The location is convenient to the Mirador de Ujarras and the Ruinas de Ujarras as well as multiple good restaurants. The citrus trees on the grounds attract lots of interesting birds. We saw at least 35 species from our porch. Hanging out with their adorable, super friendly Doberman was a big bonus for us."

La ducha estaba fallando porque el agua salía hirviendo o congelada y para que llegara a caliente demoraba muchísimo. Cuando intentabamos ponerla tibia teníamos q mover la llave de un lado para el otro para regularla. Si quieren una ducha relajante aquí no es....
"Location was perfect for spotting birds and doing short (10-30 minutes) drives to other good birding locations. We booked the room with balcony. The room was clean and the bed was good. Patrica is the lady that manages everything. She also cooked great meals for us. So please order the lunch and dinner also there. We are very happy and enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommended!"
