"There is a Holiday Inn and a Holiday Inn Express at the airport. I went to the wrong one first. Both are close to the terminals. The staff at the Express seemed much more harried. There didn't seem to be enough people on duty as sometimes there was no one around at the desk. The room was cozy and had great blackout curtains to keep the long hours of daylight out so you can go to bed early before your flight. There is an option for an early breakfast if your flight leaves early but we did not...

"Lovely hotel, looked recently refurbished and very well situated on the edge of Largs, overlooking the beach, Cumbrae and the highlands and islands in the distance. Staff were all very helpful, breakfast had a good variety of items - both hot and cold, there is a safe, private car park and the bedroom and bathroom were both spotless and comfortable. Regular bus services made for easy travelling up the west coast for the ferry services at Wemyss Bay for Bute and Gourock for Dunoon if you wanted...
