"We were given a room with a balcony with a view of the Matterhorn. The weather we had for the three nights we were there was perfect. This hotel is within walking distance of the train station in Zermatt and all of the lifts to the mountains. We also walked to Randa one day. It was also away from the noise of the downtown area of Zermatt. The black nose sheep were in the field beside the hotel. "

It's very quiet at night. Walking distance to everywhere. The church is just next to the hotel. Many nice restaurants and shops are just around the corner. Can't wait to come back"

"We’ve been travelling to many places around the world and I could say that Hotel Phoenix in Zermatt is one the best hotels we’ve stayed in, with the most amazing breakfast included in the price of the room, friendly, welcoming and helpful staff!!! "The staff makes this hotel!! Sophie patiently waited for us and other guests arriving for a late check in. She was so lovely that once we got to our room, we decided we wanted to stay for a second night so Sophie moved us to another room so we could spend both nights in the same room. She kindly gave us ice from the restaurant which was closed upon request. She assisted in recommending a hotel for our next destination. "

"Lovely quaint little hotel right in the heart of Zermatt. Very clean and tidy and walkable from the main train station. Brilliant shower, comfy bed, nice bar and restaurant with one particular table in the breakfast area having the perfect view of The Matterhorn. Only 2 minor ‘beefs’ were that we found the room on the small side (admittedly my fault for not checking) and air con is operated centrally so room was stuffy meaning we needed window open and you get some revellers who’ve had a few too...
