"While the location is convenient, because of its walkable distance to the town center, restaurants and shops, it also has the dreamiest riverbank in the back. We absolutely loved our access to the fire pits by the river in the evening. Our room was spotless, spacious with a comfortable bed. We’ll definitely be returning again. "

"It was our first time in the castle itself, usually we stay in the lower hotel but the rates were comparable to the least expensive so I booked one night in the “castle”. The only complaint we really had was the heater in the room was controlled from a thermostat that was down the hall and was for the entire building so our room was either cold or way too hot even with the windows open in late April. "Amazing place to stay for our Girl Scout ski trip! We rented the cottage which sleeps 12 and had two large, comfy rooms for adults plus large family room and new built in beds off family room for the girls. Well appointed modernized rooms while still retaining an authentic Inn feeling. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast buffet, especially the French Toast. Mike and Julie are spectacularly thoughtful hosts. We felt welcomed, cared for, and a little bit spoiled :) during our three day stay. Will absolutely stay here again on our next visit to VT! "
