"Absolutely brilliant hotel. Extremely helpful staff. Terrific Fitness Center. A wonderful room with plenty of space to actually unpack (sometimes rare in Japanese hotel rooms), comfortable bedding, and a state-of-the-art bathroom. Breakfast revolved around locally grown food. It was both tasty and interesting. My guess is that the place really shines during ski season with its spa, fireplace in the central bar area and location. Only downside was that there is construction going and the hotel...
"Exellent dinner buffet! Free shuttles (reserved) from Asahikawa and to Biei were very convenient. 3 mins walk to the famous Shirogane Bridge for great views. We didn't go to the Blue Pond due to transport logistics and lots of flying insects. Free water bottles and japanese sweets in room. Rooms were nice and clean. The only problem was our 2 rooms didn't have airconditioning, or rather, the central airconditioning is not effective at all. It was too hot to sleep for our 1 night stay in August...
"This place needs major updates/renovations. The main activity is the onsen. Each day the men and women onsen location swaps. One location is closed in and I believe generally the men's section. This location is filled with mold and mildew on the ceiling and around the windows. Because the section is closed off from outside air, condensate builds up on the ceiling and falls into the bath. Not so cool. The buffet was okay. There were lots of options but they were not for me."
"We really enjoyed this accommodation. It was very spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. The free breakfast buffet was excellent and delicious. The location is also very convenient. I would stay here again."
