"It's a decent property. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Food is good. Room and toilet very clean. They have a cafe where they keep extremely delicious cream rolls.
It's definitely not worth 4 stars accreditation. Wifi hardly worked. TV was so small that I wondered why that was even kept. My booking voucher said they bed size was such that 3 people can sleep. In reality it was barely good enough for 2 people to squeeze in.
Location wise it's a hassle to go to MG market. Atleast I...
"The staff were great. The location was perfect and close to main Darjeeling mall. The floors in the room and multiple junctions in the lobby area are uneven which may cause discomfort and extra attention especially for elderly people."
"Do not book room in this hotel, During peak season they will denied your booking. I was with family in late evening they denied the booking.
Also do not book hotel through expedia"
"The property is located right on the main street with easy access to public transport, mainly taxis. The valley looking room had excellent views. The restaurant and their staff offered excellent service, and the food was good and reasonably priced. It had an excellent view as well. It was off-season; therefore, we would be the only couple sitting in the restaurant mostly.
We had an early morning start on check out, and they gave us packed breakfast. The gym is small and not much in terms of...
"It is a heritage hotel in keeping with bygone times. Super close to the mall. Lovely dining room for dinner with fireplace and candlelit. Food was terrific with alot of choices. Buffet bfast but you can request eggs how u like. Some renovation works currently but all staff and workmen encountered always super polite and helpful beyond . If I were to go back to darjeeling I would definitely stay here.
...the drive from bagdogra to darjeeling is an experience in itself."
"The room was clean. However, the toilet was not up to the mark. Water was leaking from wash basin and made the floor slippery and wet. Water from bath area had no guided outlet. It was flowing to the drain after making entire bath room wet. As a result going to the commode area was difficult as one has to walk over fully wet floor. Sterling Park management must renovate the toilet fully and ensure that these problems are totally taken care of."
