"Overall the experience was great. Walking distance to any of the restaurants, an outdoor store in case you forgot anything and a supermarket. The parking is not at the hotel itself as there are two lots (one north and one south) but you can park in front,check in, drop off your luggage then go park the car. You need to ask for the remote to the air conditioner. My only complaint for the stay is that I wish it had a mini fridge because if I want something cold for an early hike nothing opens...

"Nice hotel situated right on the river in the beautiful town of Aínsa. Hotel has a nice cafe. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were nice enough and clean. Would stay again if I found myself in the area. "

"We really wanted to like this place - it’s a gorgeous, old stone chalet with great photos. Unfortunately, we were met by an unpleasant man who led us to a very small room that had a horrific smell. We tried to air the place out but it didn’t fix the problem. We asked about the smell, assuming that we be moved to a different room, but the man was irritated at our request and gave us a bottle of pine cleaner to pour down the sink drain...and that didn’t fix it. Also, we were bit by some unseen...

"Lovely hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff but not good service in the restaurant. We were left for 20 minutes with nothing to drink and no sign of a wine menu. An American family next to us had the same experience. It seemed the Spanish guests were getting preferential treatment. Tea and coffee in the rooms would be nice as well, something other Parador hotels offer."

"This is a no frills place to stay. That said, the staff are lovely, breakfast is nice and very good value. Our room smelt heavily of cigarettes, so we had to have the balcony doors open all night to clear it. The shower head in the bathroom was broken so it sprayed water at the ceiling and there were dead flies. That said it was functional and ok for what it is. Wouldn’t stop me going there again as a stop over."

"Charming and cosy, antiques and lovely decor. Very clean and quiet, excellent breakfast with superb coffee. Parking is on street, but a 1 euro fee (city fee) allows for overnight parking ( get parking permit right away at check-in and put in your dashboard) . 5 minute walk to restaurants and shops and Romanesque cathedral, as well as a star fort of Phillip II vintage. "

"I booked what I thought was a family room- we got a room with two bunk beds so I ended up sleeping on one of the top bunks as my youngest child is too young for that. Not a real problem for one night but the smell of methane coming from the bathroom was a real hazard. Even with the bathroom door shut and an open window, the children woke up with feeling dizzy and we couldn't wait to get out. There's a small restaurant on site which doesn't start taking food orders till after 8 pm and there's...

"An extremely well-run upmarket guest house with ever-so-comfortable beds. Very clean and tasteful. Bathroom area a little cramped but modern with quality shower gels/shampoo. Set in a quiet area of an attractive historic town close to the outdoor wonderland of the Pyrenees. Stay one night and like me you will want to visit again - for longer! "
