"There were 2 heaters in the room, one in the bathroom and one in the main room. You can turn the one in the main room off (which set 2 feet from the bed) but you cannot turn the one in the bathroom off. It is pre-programmed to come on for a hour and off for two hours.
We were originally booked in the main building in a beautiful room, unfortunately it was on the 2nd floor and I had hurt myself our first night in Ireland and could not climb that many stairs and there is no lift.

"Wonderful stay at Silken Thomas. Highly recommend. Fabulous rooms only bettered by the wonderful staff. Food great in restaurant also and close to shopping village."
"We had a lovely stay at Firecastle. Kildare is a magical area with lots to do and see in walking distance. The room we stayed in was beautiful and well appointed, breakfast was delicious and the staff were all really nice. I highly recommend Firecastle."
"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful B&B in the Wicklow Mountains. The setting is absolutely stunning, with incredible views and lovely walks right on the doorstep. Our room was comfortable, beautifully presented and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
The breakfasts were fantastic and a real highlight each morning. We also loved meeting the friendly donkeys, who added a little extra charm to an already special place!
A peaceful and welcoming escape in a gorgeous part of Ireland....
"Sfeervol en heel netjes. Gastvrouw is heel vriendelijk en gastvrij. Super leuk om bij een echt iers landhuis te verblijven met alle hedendaagse gemakken. Maynooth is leuke plaats, universiteitsgebouw heel mooi, veel winkels en mogelijk om met trein naar Dublin te gaan. "
"Fint litet hotell en liten bit utanför Leixlip. Ganska litet rum men välstädat och så. Provade inte restaurangen denna gång. Frukost ingick i rumspriset."
"A wonderful property. Beautiful area (be warned google maps does try and confuse you). The welcome was warm, the staff were excellent and the rooms were brilliant. Will definitely be coming back!"
