"An excellent place to stay, with a good breakfast and a convenient location near the train station—just seven minutes from the airport. I’ll gladly stay here again."
"Beds were comfortable. It took few minutes until we got hot water in the shower but finally we got. Breakfast is basic. They could provide gluten free bread. I suggest to have allergens list noted for breakfast items."
"Clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Please note if you are from the uk, there are No tea and coffee making facilities in the room, which might not seem to be an issue for many, but we felt it lost a star based on this and the fact that there was an issue with our shower drainage as it took a while for the water to go down. The hotel is next to a tramline but if that's not your thing then im afraid walking is impossible due to the distance. Overall pleased with our stay and would...
"Friendly, but not proactive
We arrived at 1pm, ahead of the 3pm check-in, and the team found us a room right away. Genuinely appreciated after a long travel morning.
The staff are friendly, but not proactive. The entrance is up a flight of fairly steep steps with no one outside. We carried five pieces up ourselves — three suitcases, one of them 50 lb with a broken wheel, plus two backpacks. Anyone at that door can see a guest struggling; you shouldn't have to set the bags down, walk inside and...
"Hotel Bristol was conveniently located a short walk from the Bahnhofstrasse and Old Town.
The weather was exceptionally hot this summer and the Swiss government places limits on how much air conditioning can lower temperatures in hotel rooms. For this reason, suggest requesting a room on the lower floors of the hotel in the warmer months."
"The hotel is in a great location for seeing the city as it is close to trams, buses and main railway station. The hotel is perfectly nice, however there are major roadworks being undertaken outside the hotel at the main entrance. The works start just after 7am and finish around 5pm Monday to Friday. Not sure how long the work will continue but early in the morning the noise of the digger and other mechanical equipment can be noisy. My room faced the road."
