"Family of 4 stayed in room 1301. Level 13 offered surprisingly good views of the river. The room was recently renovated which was great. Two king beds made from two singles each. Aircon was good. Great location
A few cons for the room:
1. No ventilation in the bathroom
2. Un-finished architraves in the room, looks untidy.
3. No sound proofing for the windows so you can hear everything going on downstairs and on the main street - George St
There’s a lot of renovations going on and once...
"His property had a 24 hour reception, which was useful. The major issue was the noise in the city. Did not get a full night sleep due to his proximity to major road and age of the building with poor insulation."
"This hotel is NOT near the airport. It should not come up in a search for accommodation close to Brisbane airport - it is in a noisy industrial area over the river. $60 taxi fare return, cheaper to stay at airport hotel which would have been quieter. The hotel closes at 4am and is extremely noisy with people yelling all night, banging doors, banging car doors, screaming, people going in and out of rooms next to and opposite our room from check-in at 9pm until 5am, you can hear planes go over and...
"The staff were very helpful - they were quite accomodating in allowing me to store my bags before checking in. Once I did check in, the room far exceeded my expectations. I had booked a room with 1 queen bed, stair access only. Instead I was upgraded to a room with lift access, 1 queen bed and two twin beds. The room was clean, the hotel felt safe, and the location was conveniently close to the airport. I could not have been happier with my stay."
"Really good location directly opposite Roma Station and a short walk to the City Centre or river. Friendly staff and modern appartments, with modern facilities. I liked it."
"The room was clean but very dated. The sink tap did not have any hot water. This was reported to the cleaner. There was rust in the bathroom. Only a shower curtain. Fridge was on top of the bench and could easily fall. The sheets were white but had a stain on them. The door was very hard to lock. We were close to where we needed to attend an event. Close to the accommodation was Jeans Thai which was thoroughly delicious"
"Check in was delayed til 2:30 without any information or warning and using toasters in the rooms was forbidden which was also annoying. Not the best place"
"The room was nice and the air conditioning was excellent. However I noticed that the back door was very hard to open and shut and it was near impossible to lock. The shower tap also felt stiff and didn’t rotate smoothly. I also wish there was an info sheet to tell you certain rules and what not about the cabin. Other than that though it was a pretty good stay!"
"I would rate The Ridge as ordinary. The room we had was tired and in need of a bit of care and attention. The towel rack on the back of the bathroom door was just about detached from the door. The front panel of a drawer in a cabinet in the main room looked as if it had been pulled off and not properly replaced.
The building is also very noisy with loud traffic all night and (rubbish) trucks early in the morning.
All in all nothing to be we could have done better."
