"A stout building of local stone around 100 years old but reasonably well maintained and exceeding the excellent budget price expectations. Staff friendly and helpful, public areas clean and comfy. Room large for standard twin and great view of bowling green. Food good in the evening and breakfast. Well worth the money and a good night’s sleep, just what a hotel is for!"

"We only spent two nights here. Room is nice and large, many windows for breezes and a larger bathroom. Bathroom needs a window covering, but nicely set up and the staff/owners/managers are great. Really nice location. "

"It is a charming old hotel with lots of character. Unfortunately, the maintenance staff must not be able to look up as paint is peeling off ceiling and bathroom light fixtures are missing cover. People complain of the creaking floors, but that is part of an old building. Had a beautiful view out front. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. If you expect 5 star accommodations, you should expect to pay WAY more. As long as you take that into consideration, excellent value. Would recommend and...

"Me and girlfriend enjoyed our stay perfect location and the welcome was good and gave us the info we needed all I would say is would of been nice to be greeted when coming for breakfast as we were unsure weather if help ourselves or not but other than that everything was good "

"The hotel was good and the staff were very good. The restaurant food was excellent. Massive selection of food, all freshly prepared. Prices were very reasonable in today’s climate. Great views to the sea and along the coast from my bedroom. Plenty free parking. "

"First time staying here and we weren’t disappointed. Room was spacious and airy , bed very comfortable. Welcome pack was good. Shower was great and bathroom was immaculate. My only suggestion was to add a handrail inside the shower and maybe a small corner shelf for shampoo, conditioner , shower gel it’s much better for someone disabled. "It’s a small town so don’t expect much for entertainment and you’ll be great. The place is homey and clean. The hosts are a lovely couple who care about their guests. "

"The hosts are kind and lovely. They made sure I had everything I needed. The place is a beautiful old building, which means there’s no lift — fine for me but not my big suitcase. You can also hear the other guests coming and going. All of that is made up for by the beautiful garden, walk along the beach just beyond the garden, and the lovely people who run the inn."

"Loved this place and the people. We came in very late after a long flight and they were expecting us, eagerly greeted us and helped us upstairs with our luggage. Great room, USB chargers in the lamp bases. Great breakfast in the morning in the former homes sitting room. Super friendly, and even a history lesson of the property. Highly recommend!"
