I know this is probably due to short-staffing; however, there should be an attendant at the front desk at all times (especially after 3 pm for check-in). "This place is amazing! Remodeled rooms with hardwood floors and knotty pine doors and ceiling. SO CLEAN. It was very easy to check in and out. Soon after we entered our room, the inn manager texted me to make sure we were happy with our room. The beds were comfortable and lots of storage space for all the prizes we bought while on vacation. We were very happy with our stay and look forward to visiting again."

"Great service and communication. Greeted on arrival and got a brief tour. Beautiful lodge and panoramic views of the Appalachian Mountains. Loved the room decor with beautiful cozy throw pillows and blankets. Newer owners and lots of updates. Wonderful place to gather family and for intimate family events like weddings and anniversary trips. Pet friendly too. "

"Our 4 night stay was wonderful, the inside has been recently renovated albeit it looks like some work is still being done in certain areas. It certainly did not deter from the overall experience and the owners have done a great job with the improvements thus far. The kitchen is amazing for cooking and entertaining. The house has an in-line water heater which was nice! The location is 45 minutes from Winterplace ski resort and about a 15 min car ride to most retail restaurant establishments. ...
