"The Hotel San Marco is a modern hotel with every amenity for the traveler, including hotel bicycles and umbrellas! The location is just a few safe, walkable blocks to the historic walled city. A large buffet breakfast selection starts the day, and a glass of wine at the pool area is a welcome rest at the end af the day. Every staff member is cheerful, helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend this hotel."

"Well located. All ocean view rooms. Beautiful hotel with very nice staff. There is hotel shuttle service to train station in La spezia. Taxi from La spezia station to hotel is 40 euro. Bus is cheaper but takes very long time. Italian bus!! I definitely recommend this hotel. Very lay back and comfortable place."

"Stayed in the the Junior suit with a balcony and beautiful view. The staff is so friendly and helpful like a big family! Typical Italian rustic style but very charming hotel. Lucca only about 8 minutes away by car. Will come back again! Breakfasts are the same every day which is a bit boring . We would like to have more options like a fruit salad / soft fruit and tomatoes and eggs to choose from. Other than that - lovely place to stay. Thank you all for looking after us . "The property was not as described nor expected. It was fine if you’re looking for a hostel but not for a comfortable place to land after a long trip. The property didn’t offer any compensation even though we did not stay at all. Expedia was awesome in helping find another place to stay! "
