"Beautiful property with amazing staff. We arrived at nearly midnight which is when the front desk closes. I was able to communicate with staff via the Expedia messaging feature and the staff ensured that despite our late arrival, our check-in was smooth and pleasant. We were helped to our room and enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine. Though we only stayed one night, I would absolutely recommend Villa Barbarina and would come back."

"I had ordered a room in the hotel with at least Wifi. They ran out of rooms and tried to save the situation by offering us a cottage. The cottage had a terrible bad smell and there was no internet (Wifi) connection. Breakfast was terrible, instant coffee, only croissants, no proper bread and only one cheese and ham. Because they had overbooked we had to explain why we were at the breakfast, for cottage users there is no breakfast. But we payed for it, so after some discussion we could stay, but...

"We stayed in the old part of the hotel, although it was a bit outdated it was very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole complex is well maintained and very clean. Location is perfect, lots of nice restaurants around the the corner, as well as a supermarket and pharmacy. Great sunset! "Leider war die Zufahrt von 2Seiten gesperrt, so dass teure Telefonate geführt werden mussten. Eine sehr freundliche Angestellte holte uns per Auto ab und schob alle Absperrgitter beiseite! Die Zimmervergabe war sehr sehr langsam, im Zweierzimmer erhielten wir ein upgrade (danke), die vier Personen mussten mindestens eine Viertelstunde warten, um mitsamt Koffern wieder zurück in einen älteren Teil des Hotels an der obern Strasse das Zimmer zu beziehen!
