"Reception staff were helpful and efficient. However the restaurant staff were too busy chatting and behaving like teenagers. Service as a consequence was poor. There was a pool party playing very loud music until the early hours that wasn't dealt with by staff."

"Absolutely stunning boutique hotel, we stayed in hibiscus room and the sunrise room both were exceptional. The staff the location and the pool were perfect and the breakfast was very good. They lay on a free Tuk Tuk to get you to from hotel to beach takes less than 5 mins but is easily walkable. We visited slightly out of season so Mirissa was quiet and not every restaurant and bar was open but D Canal was still fully booked so advice is book early as this hotel is a real gem in every way. "Sea World Boutique is a FANTASTIC hotel - we loved our stay there. The hotel itself is stunning (the pictures don't even do the beauty of the location justice!) but more than that, the staff are wonderfully welcoming, so friendly and it was a difficult day when we had to leave! Thanks to everyone for a brilliant few days in paradise."

"Nice view thru window. Close to the beach, good for sunset view. Anyone can go without a charge. Clean room and supplied cookers as home stay. Dining market at beach 2km away. Bike rental friendly, five minutes walking to the rental and take me back to hotel after returning. Half hour driving to dock for wacthing whales"

"Very decent hotel!! Hiru who runs the place is helpful and a nice guy. As was his father who offers a taxi service via a car or a tuktuk. The food in the rooftop bar was lovely. Particularly the breakfast which is included in the price of the hotel. "

"Really nice and clean room but everything else where terrible, dirty and very old. The staff was laying in the few chairs and there were no place else to sit, not even in the small garden. We wantet a quiet vaccation but it was noicy from the mainstreet in front. We decided to leave again after 2 nights even we already paid for more."

"Our 7 days at DCanal were lovely, it’s very peaceful, tucked away in the back streets. The free tuk tuk service to the town was very helpful. The pool, the staff, and the beaches nearby were a wonderful place to unplug. "

"We stayed for three nights with our 1 year old baby. The staff are excellent, so welcoming, and attentive and really enjoyed playing with our son. We had a sea view room, the view is beautiful, and the bathroom and shower were excellent - you can see the sea from the shower! The staff provided a lovely wooden cot which was perfect for our son. The cot fit next to the bed and the bed’s mosquito net covered the cot. Breakfast was lovely, and the staff were very accommodating of our child’s needs. All in all, we would recommend to other families and travellers. The staff are a credit to the place. "
