Our room was a sea view ground floor room which had its own private sun lougers outside the room which we thought was a real plus. "Filthy place. Not half what is advertised. Dirt pool, dirty fridge. No free wifi no free cable tv, not even a bed sheet to cover during the night. 2 towels for 4, of which one scratched. Safety concerns with broken elec near the pool. Room not ready on arrival, breakfast not ready the next day (very basic) birds eating the pervious day leftovers in the restaurant kitchen, not clean either."

"Astroea beach hotel is a cosy hotel managed by people who really care. They represent beautifully the legendary hospitality of Mauritian people: from the manager to the receptionist, the waiters, the chef and other people of their staff. They went above and beyond to help accommodating me throughout multiple plane cancelations due to cyclones and made me feel safe. I’ll never forget that. Food is delicious, beach is unbelievable and the whole setting really induces calm and relaxation. I chose this place for its proximity to the airport and for the fact that I wanted a comfortable way to end my trip. Mille mercis pour tout!!"
