"Really nice hotel with lovely staff. Food was really good had an amazing pork belly on my first night. Room was a little grubby looks like someone had blown a boggie on the wall. Also as its an old hotel could hear quite a bit of noise out side the room creaking doors and rattling glasses but no noise late at night and I had two excellent nights sleep. Hotel has lovely gorunds and a great view. I don't play but has a golf course."

"Property was clean and presentable with parking clearly marked. Shame about lack of EV charging. The receptionist was lovely and welcoming. The room light, airy with windows that open! Very clean and the bed comfortable. Would have liked bottled water, good job I brought some with me. Good choice of breakfast with the hot choice freshly cooked. Hoping to go back to use the leisure facilities."

"Firstly we were shocked at the £10.00 parking charge that’s not mentioned on the website, you have to share bathrooms with others as they’re out on the corridor, the website does mention breakfast but on arrival the sign has been painted over so it reads as hotel not b&b for the money we paid for a 1 night stay was not worth what we received, a dirty room a major issue with damp to the extent the walls had water stains from the top running down and the wallpaper had just been painted over with white in an attempt to cover up but was done poorly as the curtains even had paint on them, our ceiling light didn’t work neither did the bedside lamp, the kettle provided had so much scale in that it was crumbling off the heating element of the kettle which we couldn’t use if we wanted as the kettle was placed miles away from the 1 socket we had even the teabags provided wasn’t in “new” condition they’d been kept somewhere damp as the wrappers were stained, the bathroom was just as bad, mould around the shower uncleaned glass, shower power button missing flooring was in several separate pieces mirror just sat behind taps I would not recommend a stay here at all, door keys didn’t work properly and just for clarification check in was at 3 we arrived just after so no excuse for the dirtiness, I believe this “hotel” is just a cash cow for the owner/owners who lack in keeping it clean it’s a shame as it’s a big building with so much potential. Bitterly disappointed"

"The listing of this place is false as it states that there is self parking at the property it’s actually street parking which will cost you another £20 on top of your stay i picked this place as it had free parking we could have stayed at the premier inn which was a lot cheaper to stay at and also pay for street parking I didn’t want to leave my car out on the street as I have had damage done over the years of staying in places like this before ends up me paying for damage as well on top of my stay they need to change their listing to pay street parking not advertised like this and when I turned up they also said you need to call us to arrange parking don’t state this on the advertising so not happy to be told there isn’t any room to park fully booked well I found their car park to the rear and all it had in there was 1 car so they could have put us in and saved the £20 but no that didn’t happen won’t be going back "
