"Close to beach, friendly staff, clean room."

"We were disappointed with Sandy Bliss. We booked a Superior Double with a King bed and Sea Views - our room was an obstructed/partial sea view, but mostly street view with significant street noise. (photo). The hotel is set behind another building, so few rooms will have unobstructed views as advertised. I requested to move to a sea view room but was told this was the room I booked, despite the clear discrepancy between listing and reality. They eventually offered a room with a better sea view...

"Best part of the experience Clean room and attentive staff. Areas for improvement Frequent electricity power cuts, wall plug sockets not designed optimally. Doesn’t include breakfast like most hotel at this price."

"What a fantastic little hotel in Mirissa. The fresh fruit selection at breakfast was amazing. Waking up in a four-poster bed and stepping onto a balcony overlooking the beach and coconut trees was an absolute joy. The pool was lovely, and from the balcony you could even see Coconut Tree Hill. Breakfast was served every morning, I asked only for fruit and tea, so I am not sure what is available above and beyond this. My fruit was delicious and freshly prepared. The location is quiet, being down a short path, and the location is excellent for convenience and beach access, plus bars and restaurants. It’s extremely close to turtle 🐢 beach, where you may be lucky...

"This was actually our second stay at Lum as when our flights were delayed we wanted a little haven to relax and enjoy our extra time in the South. The staff here were so friendly and helpful and everything about the complex made it feel like a lovely place to stay. Fresh, spacious, clean rooms that surrounded a relaxing garden and a beautiful pool area. We ate out for most meals but also sampled the breakfast and main menu here and all the food was very tasty and beautifully presented. I would...
