"We loved our stay at Hotel Puerte del Oriente! We booked last minute and wanted to be well located to take advantage of beaches or the mountains. The location is beautiful-close to Llanes for accessing more restaurants and services, but far enough off the busy track to feel very pastoral and relaxing. Our host was very welcoming, the room was very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious! We wished we could have stayed longer in this peaceful place."

" A short distsnce outside Potes, nice chalet style hotel. Clean & basic, but comfortable with lounge & garden that caught the evening sun. Nearby restaurant was closed the night we stayed. "A fabulous little place, on our way back to the ferry at Santander, but in a remote corner of northern Spain. Around 15 miles off the beaten track and surrounded by gorgeous countryside but only 1.5 hours from the port. We received a warm welcome from our hostess, Karmah, who looked after our every need, supplying local information, as well as cooking us a splendid evening meal. Highly recommend to anyone visiting northern Spain. A proper little rural gem."

"We experienced a warm welcome, the room was as you would expect in a building of this period. The bed was not very comfortable but the hot bath made up for it.There was a nice view of the mountains from the window. We ate in the restaurant and although the starter (goats cheese and caramelized onion) was delicious the Main course (Steak with roast potatoes and roast vegetables) was so salty it was inedible.
