"This is a beautiful hotel. The problem with it is that there is no way to open your window. We hit a very sunny warm week in Sweden and the room was stiflingly hot. We’re Australian and very used to heat so it was hard to sleep. "

"We stayed in order to catch an early morning ferry. As such, it was great that we could charge our electric car overnight. "StrandHotellet is in a very nice location with a nice view of the sea. Because I am a Hotels.Com Gold member, we received a room upgrade. The people helping us were very accomodating. The larger room was available and they were able to offer it to us. A number of very good restaurants within short walking distance. Nice location for driving around the country side. Free parking available was handy. Breakfasts were pretty good. We had a very nice stay. "

"This not a hotel. It is a hostile. There is no on-site staff of any kind, and breakfast is a 5 or 6 minute walk away. Not a big deal, until you’re walking through freezing cold and rain before your first cup of coffee! That being said, it seemed clean, the building was quiet and pleasant enough. "A basic hotel, room was fine and great shower head. No in room tea or coffee and no tea bags in the are down the corridor they should have been in. Didn't see any other guests as not near much so a car is needed."

"Unusual to stay in a very old part of an estate like this. Parking is free. Stairs for luggage, beautiful rooms, no fans for hot days, but I hear this has been record heat during our stay."
