"The view of Mt.Fuji from my room could not be beat—it was perfect. I loved the onsen as well. I would say the only drawback was that it is quite a walk from the train station—about 1/2 hr. So not ideal if you have luggage. Taxis were hard to come by for us. We could not get a taxi to take us to the train station at 8am."

Amazing view with great service and the breakfast is also great with a mix of Japanese and western style items. Staffs ware friendly and room are clean and updated. They also have shuttle service to tourists locations around the area. "

"This was our first ryokan experience. The service was incredible throughout - very easy to communicate with the hotel team, who were very responsive and helpful. The staff were all super welcoming throughout our stay. The interior is beautiful, and the gardens are stunning. Our room was large, bright and calming, with a private bath. "This is a very old hotel located in a quieter section of Hakone. The room is much bigger than average hotels, but the facility is a little bit old. We tried the hot spring and Yukado. It was amazing. The buffet breakfast was the best part. You got the chance to taste great Japanese foods and deserts. There are some small restaurants within walking distance in the area. There are buses taking you to Lake Ashi and all the sightseeing spots in Hakone. There is a green pasture wetland trail...

"The room we booked had a great view of the mountain. Checkout time was early, 10am compared to many other hotels that we were used to. Couldn’t stay in room when they made the traditional Japanese bed. Overall, pleasant experience "
