"The public areas are ok, the rooms were basic but clean, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast was great! Views of the lock are lovely. However, we had 2 rooms. One was renovated, the other not and the difference was noticeable. One room did not have a working bathroom fan, heated towel rack and had the loudest floors I have ever heard. "Our room was directly at the fire door and stairs. All night the door slammed and the noise on the stairs was unbearable. We had previously asked for a room on the 1sf or 2nd floor but was told no. I would never recommend this hotel. It’s more of a two star not a three"

"I paid £205.00 for a room with a view. We got the view however the hotel was quite disgusting. Upon arrival you see a scruffy mobile home on concrete blocks and on the other side of the hotel it looks like a self build shed in a very bad state of disrepair. The hotel is so run down with repairs needed and filth everywhere. Our bathroom had a large jacuzzi bath but none of us would get in it and the jacuzzi did not work. "We checked in around 5pm. There was only one staff member working and the line to check in was out the door."

"Great hotel staff and very accommodating. I made an error with the dates and the staff was very helpful in getting it resolved although I had to upgrade my room which was awesome as we got the best lake view from our room. Dinner was outstanding - would advise to book in advance as there are not too many places close by."
