"Really good stay at York,great location so close to city center"

"This Ibis is in a stunning old building with High Ceilings and Tall Windows. The natural light, and views were delightful. The design and detail throughout is Contemporary, well-designed and executed. The tile work in the bathroom was very artistic. All of the Desk staff were friendly, patient, and helpful. I gather that this property was recently extensively renovated and Upgraded to the much higher "Styles" designation within the Ibis brand levels. The Breakfast Room/Bar is stunning -...

"The room was clean and tidy and easy location to find. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking. The breakfast was good but there were no gluten free options out, I always had to ask"

Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate. I prioritized locations within short walks from a train station throughout the trip, and this property fit that plan. Room was clean. Staff were friendly. "You will not find a more friendly hotel than this! Even before we arrived we got the sense of how great this would be as I phoned ahead to check parking and was met with openess and a friendly member of the team. Upon arrival, this warm welcome continued and I felt like we were the only people there, so attentive! Breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and great choice, we didn't really need lunch! Overall just a great place - bedroom was fantastic and loads of room for us and our teenager....

"The room is just a nice size for a single traveller and the layout of the bathroom was much easier to move around in. The location of being just outside the city centre helped and easy enough to get to the train station. There was some noise from the bar downstairs but it died down and was easy to ignore. For the price, amenities, location and ease of travel - I'd stay there again."
