"This is a cute vintage home in Hilo. It does not have an oven or a dishwasher, which was totally fine for us. Kitchen didn’t have a lot supplies, but we weren’t cooking dinner there. Just making picnic lunches. No AC, but the breezes kept it very comfortable. Our contact was very responsive and gave us great suggestions of places to visit and eat. The neighborhood is very quiet. "The house is great. There was an issue which the owners took care of promptly. This place does not have a/c and that is likely my fault. I'm sure I just missed it in the listing. The house wasn't too warm during the day but cooled down and sleeping at night was perfect. It is close to Hilo town. It is close to a general store if you need something and walking distance from a beach that apparently has seals at it frequently. We did not see any this trip. We had the house to ourselves....
