"It is conveniently located close to a supplier, the room was clean and of a decent size. The bathroom had all what was needed. Pretty German countryside location, not many means of transport available if you don't drive. The restaurant is good."

"This hotel is a castle! Very nice property and the staff were very helpful. We got in late so it was dark. Finding the front door was not easy since none of the lights were on like in the picture on the website. Also parking is not close either. We followed a couple in who were out for a walk and they helped guide us to the front door. No lights or visible signs directing you to the hotel entrance. "Nice hotel, close to the former border - recommend to ask the boss about it - certainly an interesting conversation. They have also a nice Wellness area (Sauna), Food is very good (we took the local Cold plate for dinner). There is a room which can be locked for bycicles. Friendly staff ! Nearby are Castle Heldburg and nice bike Trails along the former border patrol ways. "

"We only had one night here, would have liked to stay more. The hotel has its own restaurant for lunch and dinner in a separate building a minutes walk from rhe accommodation. Really good local food. Our room was quite a bit larger than expected and spotless. No hesitation in recommending this as a very good place to stay."

"The property is wonderful, but it does need some improvements. The beds are rather low to the ground, and the mattresses kept slipping off the frame. The shower has a high step that felt hazardous stepping out onto a slippery floor. Also, the wifi in the room was non-existent. You had to go to the lobby to connect."
