"This hotel is quite close to the Sakurajima ferry terminal which is very convenient! It's also just a walk away from the shopping district, but far enough away to still be quiet. The room had a bit of a weird layout and I kept accidentally walking into the mounted TV. The bathroom was a good size and comfortable enough to take a bath in. I would recommend skipping doing laundry at this hotel or in Kagoshima generally as it's quite a bit more expensive than other places. The breakfast...

"Recently stayed 2 nights at the JR Kyushu Kagoshima. Check in/check out all friendly and efficient. The location is amazing. You don’t even have to go outside the station to access the hotel reception. Amazing. The staff were welcoming in saying hello everytime you either left or returned to the hotel. Great to see. Room was adequate for 3 people, but a little small for 3 large suitcases. Shower was good. The reason I’m not giving this hotel a full score is because of the pillows. I’m sorry, but...
