"This was a very nice hotel, and we enjoyed our stay there in our days in Kibuye. Friendly and welcomming staff, a wonderful view from the balcony and good food. Would recommend it for future guest planning to stay around lake Kivu. From there they also provide different trips around the lake such as rent of bikes, boattrips to Islands and hikes."

"Die Zimmer/Häuser sind riesig, auch Familien haben mehr als genug Platz. Highlight ist die Außendusche, vor allem und gerade auch bei schlechterem Wetter. Der Blick über den See, herrlich. Toll fanden wir auch, dass man das Essen an einer langen Tafel einnimmt und so Menschen aus aller Welt kennenlernt. Philippe ist ein toller Gastgeber, der uns viele tolle Tipps für unsere weitere Reise durch Ruanda gegeben hat. Die Tageswanderung mit Philippe als Guide durch die umliegenden Dörfer mit...

"Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit tollem Ausblick. Empfehlung: Die Organisation der Touren sollte nur eine Person in die Hand nehmen. Da kamen zu viele, die sich mit dem selben Namen vorgestellt haben und behaupteten, sie arbeiten mit Macheoecolodge zusammen. Das war undurchsichtig. -> Da kann aber dort keiner was dafür. Sollte nur vom Management zum Schutz der Gäste beobachtet werden. Ansonsten ist es eine Reise wert und besonders!"

"The staff at this property were extremely nice and friendly. The journey from Kigali however was stressful. I recommend renting a jeep or a car with high tires as the roads leading to the accommodation are bad. "

"The hotel is positioned right across from the lake. Beautiful and tranquil property. Breakfast mostly fruits, eggs, juice, coffee and African tea. The rooms need upgrades, remodeling, better colors on the wall, better paintings. TV in the room did not work. WiFi here is terribly bad and horrible. Those things management and owners need to take into account and fix it. Also, when you pay for your stay thru Expedia they automatically receive notification that customer paid but when you check in they keep asking to show proof that you paid which is absurd and ridiculous. Other than that the place is beautifu. From hotel to city center by moto taxi is RFW1,000, don't pay more. Boat ride outside of the hotel is RWF15,000 for one hour. I would not recommend hot spring because is not hygienic, dirty and trashy. "
